Currently, the U.S. health care system with an annual GDP of $3.5 Trillion per year has become pretty much of an economic beast. It that were a nation’s GDP it would make it the 5th largest on this planet, only exceeded in size by the U.S. , China, Japan and Germany.
So, if you in any way present a point of view that questions the authority of this Leviathan, you are taking on an opponent with a lot of authority and fire power. Currently, the industry already spends $30 Billion annually on marketing alone– a spending increase of double what was spent 20 years ago.
Please keep these facts in mind as we review the vaccine issue. This is a powerful institution to take on. Surely the practitioners below, with much to risk, did not choose to do so without sound scientific evidence coupled with a strong commitment to patient health. Otherwise, why invite the abuse you know will come your way and jeopardize your career and reputation.
Also, bear in mind that there is no way to fully address this issue with a few posts. Book length explanations are more realistic since this is an issue which requires careful attention and a bit of study. All I plan on doing in these posts is to outline the issue and some of the myths around it, possibly some suggestions for alternatives or treatment.
If you feel this an issue that you need to study further, resources will be provided for you to do that.
As noted above, anyone taking aim to change accepted and profitable practices of the medical Leviathan is placing themselves in the cross hairs of a powerful and well funded institution. You can expect counter attacks- sometimes more aggressive than you might expect.
The volume and aggression reminds me sometimes of the statement the Queen made to the King in Hamlet:
The lady doth protest too much, methinks. – Hamlet Act 3, Scene 2
Those who profit the most, the manufacturers of the products are those have the most potential financial gain to lose. They tend to fire the greatest volume of arrows. They have a very lucrative profit interest to protect. They will be among the first to launch into counter arguments and will not necessarily be kind about it.
Next in line, are those who earn their livings from this behemoth industry. They either can not afford to doubt its efficacy or simply don’t want to. Perhaps they have never seriously considered an alternative point of view because they feel it may make them too uncomfortable with what they do for a living?
It may be they are simply sold on the message that only accepted professionals (as defined by the AMA) can tell you what to do with your health and that’s that, anyone else is unqualified or a quack?
Of course, you will always have the true believers who will never relinquish their point of view no matter what is said. These are people who have accepted authority over their own abilities to examine and consider differing points of view to make up their own mind about an issue.
If the authority figure says it is so, then it is so and that is all they need to know or wish to hear. When you propose a truth they haven’t considered, true believers can sometimes get as close minded and angry as Antifa.
With all of this opposition, which is powerfully funded and well numbered, stepping outside the box takes a great deal of courage and commitment, particularly for those who work within the industry who stand to lose quite a bit, including their reputation and their income.
If you are in one of the aforementioned opposition groups and unwilling to consider an alternative point of view then you may not want to read any further. If not, read on because you can always get the accepted point of view but may only rarely hear the alternative view and evidence.
The primary concerns in this post are your health, the health of your family and the health of people you are concerned about most especially their children who have the most to lose.
They, after all, are a primary target in all of this who do not get to make a choice in the matter. Convince the parent not to question and their children have no choice.
First of all, the media ( which profits handsomely from healthcare and pharmaceutical advertising) has us convinced that all “real doctors” support vaccination. This is simply not true.
Yes, most do. They must if they wish to continue to work within the healthcare marketplace of services. However, most does not mean all.
It also does not mean those who do are to be automatically placed in the category of quackery. If everyone thought the same about everything all the time, we would be living without most of our technical, intellectual and cultural advances.
These advancements didn’t come from people looking to keep everything status quo. They came from people looking for a more effective and sometimes more ethical approach.
As anyone in any “professionally” licensed industry knows, those who are first in stepping out side the box are the ones who receive the most vigorous attacks. If they persist, despite the chastisement, then the attacks become personal or ad hominem especially when their facts cannot be effectively squelched.
In the vaccine arena, medical professionals were the first to correlate problems patients were experiencing with the vaccines they were administering. Currently, as Dr. Blaylock notes below, children are getting regimens of 22 different shots before they even reach school.
As the number of vaccines grew so did the patient symptoms. Those doctors or health professionals who did pursue the forbidden arena of vaccine research in order to develop an informed opinion about it, were the ones who usually become anti-vaccine.
The ugly truth about vaccines which arises from a little research can go a long way. The rise in autism has been a red flag that has pointed the way for some.
We’ll take a look at a few of these people and point towards more for you to explore on your own to limit the length of this post.
As you will see, they are certainly not quacks nor unqualified in their fields despite the paint brush of the opposition characterizing their objectors. This appears to be more of an overstatement made by those who have the most to lose which are the groups previously noted.
A short Kindle book called Medical Doctors Opposed to Forced Vaccinations breaks up this group of professionals into four factions:
Once again, keep in mind that most of the anti-vaccine doctors did not start out as anti-vaccine. They observed the damage vaccines caused to their patients via their clinical experience, and it drove them to research the issue much more thoroughly than what they were taught in medical school. We’ll profile some of these in the next section.
Let’s begin with Dr. Russell Blaylock a known name in the opposition category.
Dr. Russell L. Blaylock, MD – A board certified neurosurgeon who owns a nutritional practice who practiced medicine for 25 years before beginning his nutritional studies and research full -time. Author of Health and Nutrition Secrets and Prescriptions for Natural Health.
As mentioned above, Dr. Blaylock says that children are receiving as many as 22 inoculations before attending school. This has a greater impact than we understand at present.
Dr. Blaylock explains that vaccines given to children activate the microglia in the brain which go after free radicals and also secrete chemicals, glutamate and quinolinic acid, which are called excitotoxins. These two dramatically increase free radical generation in the brain.
Normally, the brain can shut down these excitotoxins but doesn’t do so with vaccinations because of the amount and frequency they are administered especially today. In the developing brain, this can lead to language problems and behavioral dysfunction. Studies in autism have shown high levels of excitotoxins in the nervous system.
For a bit more extensive summary of the connection of excitotoxins and the brain, you can go to this link or read Health and Nutrition Secrets. It is a bit technical but understandable. Further information is available in Dr. Blaylock’s books – Dr. Blaylock’s Prescriptions for Natural Health and Health and Nutrition Secrets.
Dr. Suzanne Humphries, MD – Dr. Humphries is the author of Rising from the Dead which is her autobiography detailing why she left the medical industry after 22 years and Dissolving Illusions: Disease, Vaccines, and The Forgotten History which addresses the historic truths about the claimed history of vaccines and antibiotics as miracle intervention cures.
The following is a description written by Dr. Humphries about her background and relationship to the vaccination issue:
I am a conventionally educated medical doctor who was a participant in the conventional system from 1989 until 2011. During those years I saw how often that approach fails patients and creates new diseases.
I left conventional medicine to research the many problems with mainstream medical theory.
I do not consider it my place to tell anyone whether to vaccinate or not. It is my place to understand as much as I can about vaccines and give people a more complete understanding from which to make their choices. This has never been a priority to the public health services. In fact, there is ample documentation that the priority was quite the opposite, and actually to quell ‘any possible doubts, whether well founded or not’ regarding vaccines.
There is a paucity of studies comparing never vaccinated children, with partially or fully vaccinated children. In terms of safety studies, a major issue is that most vaccine studies use another vaccine as the control placebo, or use the background substance of the vaccine.
A recent study she cites using a control group, Cowling 2012 revealed a 5-6 times higher rate of non-influenza viral infections in the vaccinated group.
Dr. Andrew Wakefield, MD – Gastroenterologist and medical researcher went where the evidence led him and published a paper criticizing the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps and rubella vaccine). His mistake was to go beyond the 10 other co-authors in the study which reached the conclusion that there was a possible correlation between the MMR vaccine and resultant gastrointestinal dysfunction along with developmental delays and autism.
When Dr. Wakefield publicly brought attention to the possibility of MMR being a problem and calling for the 3 shots to be separated, he became big pharma’s enemy. He was accused of fraud and lost his license. Now, both revered and vilified, he is called “the father of the anti-vaccine movement”.
A recent study by the CDC in Atlanta, proposed by Dr. Wakefield confirmed his hypothesis. He has filed a complain with the Office of Research Integrity detailing the fraud. The matter is currently under investigation by the U.S. Congress with the prospect of hearings later this year. I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one. They have other bigger fish to fry it seems.
More doctors and these three backgrounds are available on this page.
This page covers even more doctors who question vaccinations.
The video below was an interview conducted with Nancy Banks, who is a Harvard trained M.D. and a board certified ObGyn.
Dr. Banks says when she began her career, the incidence of autism was one out of 10,000 now it is 1 out of 100. She brings up some disturbing points on the issue and on medical studies in general:
The following video is a discussion of the vaccine issue given by Meryl Nass, M.D. Internal Medicine, Anthrax vaccine and Gulf War Syndrom expert:
The point of this first segment of the issue was to frame some of the issues which anyone, particularly doctors face, when stepping outside the box and questioning the accepted treatment model. It opens them up to condemnation from powerful forces professionally, personally and economically.
Nonetheless, the main concern here is the safety of the humans who are the target of vaccines which in the majority of cases are children.
It is an issue that has been clouded in controversy since it has arisen but is beginning to gain some traction as more information arises and most particularly as our autism epidemic continues to grow.
Families with autistic children know how much of a problem they are to raise, not to mention the difficulty in life their children will face as they mature. If this can be prevented, not only can it improve the quality of the lives of the individuals who have dodged the bullet, so to speak, but also the lives of the caregivers who sacrifice their time and lives out of love and concern for their impacted children and loved ones.
Now, that we have a little of the background surrounding this controversy, in the next segment will take a look at some myths surrounding the vaccine issue being posed as fact.
